As we continue expanding our consulting capabilities across North America, EMEA, and APAC, we are investing in a new Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps Transformation Practice designed to help organizations improve delivery performance, developer productivity, governance, and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Global Head of SDLC Transformation Consulting to build and scale our SDLC and DevOps consulting practice.

This is a practice leadership role focused on strategy, offerings, operational maturity, and organizational influence. You will be responsible for defining how the practice operates, what services it delivers, how those services are packaged and sold, and how teams across the organization collaborate to deliver consistent client outcomes.

Unlike traditional practice leadership roles, this position begins as an individual contributor. You will not inherit a large team or an established operating model. Instead, you will work alongside delivery, presales, marketing, and executive leadership to establish the foundations of a scalable consulting business.

The ideal candidate combines consulting experience, transformation expertise, and a builder mindset. They are comfortable creating structure where ambiguity exists, influencing stakeholders without direct authority, and translating market opportunities into repeatable service offerings.

What You’ll Do

Build and Scale the Practice

• Define the vision, strategy, and operating model for the SDLC and DevOps consulting practice
• Establish the service portfolio, delivery framework, and practice standards
• Develop repeatable offerings that address client needs across SDLC modernization, DevOps transformation, CI/CD enablement, governance, and developer productivity
• Create the foundational business infrastructure required to support long-term growth
• Partner with leadership to define practice goals, priorities, and success metrics

Develop Market-Ready Solutions

• Package consulting services into clearly defined, repeatable offerings
• Create delivery methodologies, implementation approaches, and reusable assets
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure offerings are practical, scalable, and aligned with client outcomes
• Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development and automation capabilities

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work closely with delivery, presales, sales, marketing, and executive leadership teams
• Provide subject matter guidance on strategic pursuits and high-value opportunities
• Support client-facing conversations when executive-level expertise is needed
• Help align organizational priorities around SDLC and DevOps transformation initiatives

Influence Organizational Growth

• Lead through influence rather than direct authority
• Build relationships across global teams and functions
• Establish standards, best practices, and governance frameworks that improve consistency and quality
• Contribute to business planning, investment decisions, and growth initiatives

Your Experience

Required:

• 10+ years of experience within professional services, consulting, technology transformation, or related environments
• Experience building, launching, or scaling a consulting practice, business unit, service line, or capability area
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, software delivery, or engineering transformation programs
• Experience developing consulting offerings, methodologies, and reusable service assets
• Demonstrated success working across multiple stakeholders and business functions
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills
• Experience influencing decisions without direct reporting authority

Preferred:

• Experience within a transformation consulting, technology consulting, or advisory organization
• Familiarity with business planning, practice economics, utilization models, and P&L processes
• Experience supporting enterprise-level transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of AI-enabled software development and emerging engineering practices
• Experience working in globally distributed organizations

Compensation

North America

• Base Salary: $200,000 – $240,000 USD
• Annual Bonus: 20–25%

United Kingdom

• Base Salary: £135,000 – £175,000 GBP
• Annual Bonus: 20–25%

France

• Base Salary: €150,000 – €190,000
• Annual Bonus: 20–25%

Benefits include disability, and life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions. No equity is currently offered for this position.
